In 1991, the firm opened with one conviction: the legal system should work for the people it was built to serve, and too often it does not. Homeowners worn down by insurers. Tenants and landlords tangled in statutes written for lawyers. Businesses watching signed agreements treated like suggestions.
Thirty-five years later, we are seven attorneys, still in North Miami, still practicing in English, Spanish, and Creole, and the conviction has not moved an inch.
What has changed
The law, constantly — Florida’s insurance statutes alone have been rewritten multiple times in the last decade, reshaping deadlines, fee structures, and what policyholders must do to protect a claim. Part of our job has always been keeping up so our clients do not have to.
What has not
You still reach an attorney when you call, not a call center. Fees are still agreed before work begins — contingency where it fits, flat fee where it makes sense. And every case still gets prepared as if it is going to trial, because the other side can tell the difference.
A reputation built case by case is slow to earn. It is also the only kind that lasts thirty-five years.
To the clients and the community who got us here: thank you. The door on NE 127 Street is open, the consultation is still free, and we are just getting started.
