Sometimes the problem is not that you owe money — it is that two or more people insist the same money is theirs. An insurer with competing beneficiaries. An escrow agent caught between buyer and seller. A bank facing rival claims to an account. Pay the wrong party, and you may have to pay all over again.
Interpleader is the remedy built for exactly that bind. The party holding the funds deposits them with the court, names the competing claimants, and asks to be released from further liability — leaving the claimants to fight it out among themselves. Done correctly, the stakeholder walks away discharged, often with attorney’s fees covered from the deposited funds.
We handle both sides of these cases: stakeholders who need a clean, court-approved exit, and claimants pressing their right to the money. The work is technical and deadline-driven, and we bill it hourly at a rate agreed before we begin.

What we handle
Stakeholder Interpleader
You hold funds that several parties claim. We deposit them with the court and seek your discharge from further liability.
Insurance Proceeds Disputes
Competing beneficiaries or claimants to a life, property, or liability policy payout — resolved without exposing the insurer to double payment.
Escrow & Closing Funds
Title agents, brokers, and escrow holders caught between buyer and seller over deposits or proceeds.
Competing Claimant Representation
If you are one of the parties claiming the money, we press your right to the funds and oppose rival claims.
Attorney’s Fee Recovery
Stakeholders are often entitled to recover their fees and costs from the deposited funds. We pursue that recovery as part of the action.

Our process
- 1
Free Consultation
We review who holds the funds, who is claiming them, and whether interpleader is the right tool. You leave knowing your exposure and our hourly rate.
- 2
File & Deposit
We prepare the complaint, deposit the disputed funds with the court, and serve every competing claimant — putting the dispute where it belongs.
- 3
Discharge or Recovery
Stakeholders are released from liability; claimants litigate their entitlement. We see the matter through to the court’s distribution order.
